Umrah Visa Requirements for UK Residents 2026
The following documents are required for UK residents applying for an Umrah visa. Our consultants verify each item before submission to minimise the risk of delays or rejection.
British or UK Resident Passport
Valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date. Minimum 2 blank visa pages. UK BRP holders must also provide valid BRP.
Meningitis ACWY Vaccination
Mandatory for all pilgrims. Certificate must show ACWY vaccine administered at least 10 days before travel. Available at most UK travel clinics and pharmacies.
Confirmed Return Flights
Confirmed outbound and return flight bookings to/from Saudi Arabia (Jeddah JED or Madinah MED). Included when you book a package with us.
Hotel Accommodation Confirmation
Confirmed hotel booking in Makkah (minimum nights required). Proximity to Masjid al-Haram is recommended. Included in our packages.
Passport Photograph
Recent colour photo (taken within 6 months), white background, full face visible, 35mm x 45mm. We advise on exact specifications.
Proof of UK Residency (non-British nationals)
Non-British passport holders must provide valid UK visa or Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) with sufficient validity beyond travel dates.

UK residents can apply directly through the Saudi government's e-Visa portal (visa.visitsaudi.com). However, many pilgrims prefer to use our service to avoid errors that can delay or reject applications. We ensure everything is correctly prepared.
Standard processing from the UK is 5–10 working days after all documents are received. We advise applying at least 4 weeks before travel. During Ramadan and peak periods, allow 6 weeks.
The standard Umrah visa is a single-entry visa valid for 30 days from the date of issue. It permits entry to Saudi Arabia for Umrah purposes only. Extensions are not normally granted.
Yes. Every traveller including infants and children requires their own Umrah visa. Children must have their own passport. We handle the full family application as a package.
Visa refusals are rare when applications are correctly prepared. If your visa is refused despite correct documentation, we liaise with Saudi authorities to understand the reason. Our administrative service fee remains non-refundable as the work is completed. Saudi government fees (if charged) are also non-refundable by Saudi authorities.
